Lake Nottely is located in the state of Georgia near the border of North Carolina in the mountains and borders the Chattahoochee National Forest. A 4,180-acre TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) lake with 106 miles of shoreline, it is located near the town of Blairsville, Georgia. The lake offers many recreation possibilities. Enjoy fishing for striper or bass. Enjoy skiing, swimming, or just cruising the lake in a pontoon boat. There are beach and camping areas. Besides being popular for recreation, Lake Nottely is used to control flooding, a source of water to generate power, and a location for many homes along the shores.
